Bio:
Stella Ngozi Udo is a Medical Laboratory Scientist and Specialist in Public Health with over thirtyfive years work experience in the field of laboratory medicine, Management and Administration across Public/Private Health Institutions and Non-Governmental Organizations. She holds a Masters Degree in Medical Laboratory Science and a Doctorate in Public Health with bias in Biosafety/Biosecurity. A renowned Technocrat and Administrator with diverse trainings and Certifications in the areas of Quality Management Systems ISO 15189, ISO 17025, biosafety and biosecurity ISO 35001, Strategic Planning, Laboratory Auditing and Mentorship, etc. She has worked in a Teaching Hospital and at the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria where she rose to the position of Deputy Registrar/Director of Planning, Research & Statistics. She is currently the Administrator at the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science (WAPCMLS) She is a Certified laboratory Auditor/Mentor by (ASLM), Certified Biorisk Instructor/Trainer by International Federation of Biosafety Association (IFBA) and Sandia National Laboratory, WHO/IATA Trainer/shipper of infectious substance and have facilitated several workshops in the different zones of Nigeria training over 500 personnel in the Basic BRM, Advanced BRM, Project Based Mentorships, Quality management systems, Train the Trainer(TtT)workshops, Shipping of infectious substance and health system strengthening that has led and contributed to several high-impact projects, including the successful implementation of biorisk management and Quality Management System accreditations in several institutions in Nigeria and other African countries in the past 10 years. Her contributions extend to health policy and strategic planning, where she actively supports the Nigerian Ministry of Health and other institutions in crafting evidence-based frameworks to guide the sector. She has participated in the development of several policy documents, Strategic plans and training manuals.She is an independent Consultant for several National and International Organizations on different projects and recognized for her leadership, collaborative approach, and commitment to strengthening health systems through research, education, and policy advocacy.
